PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Lossline collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 15, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating and using a Lossline account, including your name, email address, selected fire departments and territories, notification preferences, saved incidents, owner reveals, and communications with support.

When you enable notifications, we store a device push token and delivery settings so we can send relevant fire alerts. We also receive subscription status, product identifiers, and purchase entitlement information from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.

2. Location

If you grant location permission, Lossline uses your current location on your device to rank nearby fire departments. Your precise location is not sent to or stored by Lossline for this feature. You can deny or revoke location access and search departments manually.

3. Incident and property information

Lossline receives fire incident information from public and third-party data sources. When you request or enable an owner reveal, we may submit the incident address to property and contact-data providers to locate ownership, phone, email, and property-record information. Reveal results are associated with the incident and made available only to authorized users.

4. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, territories, incident feeds, saved leads, and owner reveals.
  • Send requested fire alerts and maintain notification delivery.
  • Verify subscriptions, monthly reveals, and purchased top-up credits.
  • Secure, troubleshoot, improve, and prevent misuse of the service.
  • Respond to support, legal, and account-deletion requests.

5. Service providers

We use vendors to operate Lossline, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Apple and RevenueCat for purchases and entitlements, Expo for push-notification delivery, Cloudflare for network and website services, and address, incident, property, and contact-data providers for product functionality. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their own terms and privacy obligations.

6. Sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal account information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to service providers, to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, during a business transfer, or when you direct us to do so.

7. Retention and security

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain purchase and reveal records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices

You can change territories and notification settings in the app, revoke device permissions in iOS Settings, and delete your account from the account screen. Account deletion removes or de-identifies information unless retention is required for security, billing, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes.

You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and identity verification.

9. Children

Lossline is a professional service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Lossline changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@lossline.app.
